This brooch is so beautifully made that describing it will not show you the beauty of this brooch. The bottom layer is made up of large black diamond chatons encircled by smaller pronged black diamond chatons and then alternating between each one is a black diamond chaton. Going toward the middle of the brooch you will see lovely black diamond cut marquis pronged rhinestones alternating with b pronged small chatons. The center is a large grey diamond cut chaton. Now for the best part of all are the faceted watermelon colored crystal beads. They are in clusters of three and i can see about eight clusters that dangle freely in the front of the brooch. The colors of watermelon is fabulous but to me i can see colors of beautiful grape wine colors too. The back is done is goldtone and the goldtone is all intact. It has a free flowing rollover clasp and the clasp is in good working order. There is the typical figure 8 puddling and the noticeable "eye sockets" very typical of D&E.
