Vintage Costume Jewelry Cobalt Blue Glass Necklace Start Price USD 67.00 Current Price USD 67.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Wednesday, September 24, 2008 End Time Friday, October 24, 2008 Location Upstate, NY See more about 'Vintage Costume Jewelry Cobalt Blue Glass Necklace' Description Simply put, this necklace is gorgeous.  I purchased the cobalt blue glass beads at an estate sale in the spring, as part of a grouping of broken pieces.  From the information gathered at the sale, and from the appearance of the beads, they are most likely from around 1930, and possibly Czech in origin.  They are highly faceted, and just over a half inch in diameter.  The blue color is so deep and rich, that the beads appear to glow from within.  I have restrund them on sturdy wire, and used pewter silvertone spacer beads to protect the glass beads from knocking against each other.  I used smaller blue glass beads near the clasp for ease of wear.  The clasp is a sterling silver toggle, for extra security and ease of use.  This is truly an heirloom quality piece that will be enjoyed for years to come.  The necklace measures 17 inches.  As you can see in the pictures, one or two beads have some very tiny nicks....not visible when worn, but they are there.  Because of that, I will rate this piece as very good, but it is certainly near excellent.    Be sure to scroll all the way down to see all of the pictures.  Ships anywhere in the US only for FREE via First Class mail.    I will also offer Priority Mail for $1.50 if you want faster shipping, but most items I send First Class do arrive within 2-3 days.   8% sales tax will be added to orders shipped to New York.  Payment must be recieved within 7 days of auction end, or item is returned to inventory.  Paypal is preferred, but I will accept checks or money orders.   Shipment will not occur until payment clears, and Paypal is always the best option if you want your item quickly.  Bidders with less than  10 positive feedbacks MUST use paypal.  I do accept returns.  Please contact me within 3 days of recieving your item if you are not happy for any reason.
