A wonderful pin from the 1940s, an elegant lady with hand painted features dressed in leather and suede. The pin measures 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". Her face and neck appear to be made of wood, the face is painted in a peachy flesh tone. Her hand painted eyes are turquoise blue, the lips are red. The hat is made of white leather with purple suede and green suede flower trim. I'm not sure what the two lime green leaves are made of. The safety pin clasp is attached to a piece of brown leather on the back of the head.The pin is in excellent condition, the only fault I can find is a bit of glue on the bottom inside of the hat. There is a tiny flap of leather on the inside of the hat, it's not ripped, it's just a little extra piece of leather. The back of the hat is slightly soiled.
