Purple Blue Rhinestone Paved Icing Necklace Earring Set Start Price USD 465.00 Current Price USD 465.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, September 22, 2008 End Time Tuesday, October 21, 2008 Location Midwest See more about 'Purple Blue Rhinestone Paved Icing Necklace Earring Set' Description   Purple Blue Rhinestone Ribbon Over Vintage Necklace Set Cuba Purple Blue AB Rhinestone Ribbon Over Wrap Paved Icing / Ice Vintage Choker Necklace & Earrings Demi-Parure Set     Colors / Hues:         Cuba Violet, Lavender, Purple, Teal Green and Blue Materials:                  Glass Rhinestones Cut / Shape:             Round / Chaton and Fancy Navette / Marquise Finish / Extras:        Aurora Borealis & Glossy Silver Tone     Up for sale are these wonderful vintage choker necklace and clip-on earrings Demi-Parure set.  This extra fancy rhinestone set reminds me of a handful of Wild Violets with their shades of purples and blues mixed with green petals.  I call this necklace “Picking Wild Flowers”!   Front focal point of the necklace has the silver tone paved icing of the ribbon over (wrapped) swirls with paved clear rhinestones that flows down to two large chaton rhinestones of light and dark purple (notice the two different types of prongs used) also a third accent clear rhinestone in a prong setting can be seen at the end tip of the ribbon.  Three of these ribbon over (paved ice) groups are set against a back drop of large blue/purple chatons with an Aurora Borealis finish these are intersected with violet Cuba Marquise Rhinestones.  These Cuba rhinestones really take the show for me; look into them you’ll see a swirl of color between lavender and violet giving a color change effect of blue to purple.  If that wasn’t enough these same marquise stones have a fancy scalloped / rippled cut to the top table edge of rhinestone (see photos).  All of these are off set with a greenish-blue teal colored chaton prong and link set rhinestones for the end sides with a hook and large AB stone for the final adjustable closure.  The matching clip on earrings are a combination of the ribbon over groups and the Cuba rhinestones.   This set is not designer hallmarked, however I do attribute the style, prong and ribbon over wraps or also called paved icing to that of many designs by Eisenberg from the years 1958 to 1970 some Eisenberg jewelry was not marked.  The earrings and a matching brooch to this set are featured in the book “Costume Jewelry 101” on page 270, the author states that this set is marked by the Eisenberg style of pave icing, high-quality rhinestones and a rhodium back.   This Demi-Parure set is in excellent condition with no dead, chipped or missing rhinestones.     Approximate Size:   Choker / Necklace:  15” (end to end) Clip On Earrings:     1” x ¾”              Please be advised that I have not attempted to clean this item, I leave that job for the buyer.  The photos are considered part of the description.  Coloring may vary from photographs and monitors.  Most photos are enlarged to show detailing of item; photos do not show actual size in most cases.  Please ask questions prior to buying or biding.  And as always I am happy to combine shipping.  Thank you.         Item Conditions & Photo Links: Most of my items are straight from local Estate Auctions.  Therefore many of the items for sale have not been washed or laundered.  All linens & clothing are left unwashed and are not ironed.  Some of the glassware’s have been cleaned for better photo details.  This allows you to have items cleaned or restored properly by a skilled trained individual in that area.
