I say this because the frame holding the garnets is gold plated metal while the ring itself is 14K yellow gold.    The gemstones are  genuine Czechoslovakian Bohemian garnets  c. 1938-39 era with none missing from the 1" X 3/4" oval.    The metal holding the garnets is a base metal that was gold plated, as was usually the way it was done. A jeweler has added the 14K gold ring to make it a wearable and very pretty piece. FREE sizing before I mail it---now size 8. It's not a  heavy mounting---definately 'wear with care'. The overall condition is very good.   We encourage email questions as I am easy to talk with.
