It pains me to sell this stunning gold and sapphire necklace - but times are tough and we need money. Because this is a private sale, you'll pay a lot less for this very precious, very nice necklace that you'd pay in a jewelry store - if you could find a necklace like this :) If you're looking for an heirloom quality piece of jewelry for yourself (or as a gift), this lovely necklace will bring much happiness and satisfaction. I'm not sure of the exact age of the necklace; it was given to me as a gift - and it was an heirloom piece at the time. Based upon my knowledge of the necklace's history, I would say that it was created before 1940... most likely between 1900 and 1935. I promise that you'll look and feel absolutely elegant wearing this chain. Of all my pieces, this one always got the most attention. Best of all, no one else will be wearing anything like it. Please note that this chain weighs a heavy 133 grams! You just can't lose on this necklace - it's gold value alone makes this a great investment. The first picture gives a more accurate depiction of the actual color of the gold - it's that smooth, gorgeous golden yellow that you find only in 18kt gold. The other pictures give detail, but just don't do justice to the actual richness of the gold. The flash tended to "wash out" the gold in the other photos - but the entire necklace is a rich, 18kt yellow gold. The necklace was appraised by one of our local (high end) jewelers a couple of years ago and given a value of $9,000. I've attached a photo of the appraisal and will email a clearer copy if you're seriously interested in the piece.
