ALL metals are made of sterling silver. Pendant is hallmarked: "STERLING" and chain is Hallmarked: " STERLING". Pendant brooch  has a very beautiful older  high quality Venetian glass piece. Venetian glass is a highly older Italian art. It's hardness and coldness is that of stone but often this type of glass is made from various stones and shells, fired and fused. It's very highly collectible. Pendant brooch has the Victorian era non-locked pin clasp as oppose to the locked clasp which followed late in late 1890's.  It's large, thick, and heavy. Has beautiful detail. Measures nearly 1 3/4 inches wide, 1 1/8 inch tall, and about 1/2 inch deep. Chain is very almost as old as well and not original to pendant brooch but matches well. Chain measures: 16 1/2 inches long. Chain width is 2 mm. Link chain is 3.5 mm in width. Pendant brooch necklace is heavy. Weighs: 16 grams. It came from our family's Victorian/Edwardian era jewelry collection. Chain is more Edwardian era and not quite as old as pendant brooch but both make a great match. Pendant brooch necklace is in excellent vintage condition. Would make a great gift.
