All is made of solid 14K gold. Hallmarked: "14K". All pieces to it will test 14K gold or total refund (including returned shipping) guarenteed. The center band portion is well hand intergrated woven (rare) in green gold with ends in rose gold. Fob is dual gold: Green and rose. Swivel and links are in rose gold. The fob needs no clasp, because it's an older mourning brooch fob which is simply pinned on to clothing, men pinned these to vest. However, it could also be for either man or woman. It has the very old non-locked clasp pin but it's clasp and pin is strong to support heavy weight. The center portion has lined black enamelling with NO wear of enamelling. Mourning pieces were worn by people during the era when Queen Victorian was in intense mourning due to the death of her husband. From fob to swivel, it measures: 5 2/3 inches long. Width (of band) is 3/4 inch wide. Fob is nearly 1 inch tall , 1 inch wide, and alittle over 1/8 inch deep. Watch chain fob is very heavy. Weighs: 22.3 grams. Swivel and braided band chain are in very excellent condition. Fob's front is in very excellent condition. Back of fob has a few dings and minor surface scratches (which is to be expected due to it's old age) and this is away from field of vision because it''s on back. Among antique collectors, fob would be considered in excellent condition with age considered. Would make a great gift.
