ANTIQUE CARVED BONE NECKLACE THREADED BEADS Start Price USD 49.99 Current Price USD 49.99 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Wednesday, May 14, 2008 End Time Wednesday, May 21, 2008 Location Huntington Station, New York See more about 'ANTIQUE CARVED BONE NECKLACE THREADED BEADS' Description  ANTIQUE CARVED BONE NECKLACE THREADED BEADS This necklace is made up of carved bone beads, bone rings and round red beads, all macrame-strung on what appears to be silk cord.  The cord is in poor condition, and, while still strong, is badly frayed and heavily soiled.   The bone beads are all hand carved with hollow centers, and all three of the large round ones, and the long drop at the center unscrew into halves.  There is a small hollow area within which hides the knots of the cord, and which might conceivably be used to contain tiny items.  The red beads, in contrast, seem to be an old plastic material.  At least one of the bone rings is missing, and there is a poorly constructed repair to the cord above the long bone bead on one side.  The overall length of the necklace is 26" with the central motif hanging down an additional 3 3/4".  Quite old, and with proper restringing, a lovely antique necklace!
